What we do on a trade job

  • Supply unfinished solid hardwood, unfinished engineered hardwood, and stair parts for installs and stair jobs we will sand and finish. Not a walk-in flooring store.
  • Install that hardwood after a subfloor look and moisture readings. The install page is hardwood floor installation in Huntsville.
  • Sand and finish on site, with dust-contained sanding. Rubio Monocoat® Oil Plus 2C is advertised as 0% VOC. Jobs that need a film-build color system use Bona Chroma® with Bona Traffic HD, which is low-VOC and GREENGUARD Gold certified on the Bona product, not on this company.
  • Build or refinish custom stairs, and replace stair components — treads, risers, railings, and balusters — so they match the floor. See custom hardwood stairs.

Who calls

Builders call when a house needs hardwood installed and then sanded and finished in the rooms, not a client sent to a showroom. Designers call when the color has to be chosen on the actual boards under the house light. Realtors and property managers call when oak needs to be sanded and finished before photos or a turnover. We look at the floor and write the quote. We do not publish a turnaround for that, because the floor decides the schedule.

Hardwood only

We install hardwood and we sand-and-finish it. We do not install LVP, vinyl, carpet, or laminate. We do not screen-and-recoat. We do not refinish cabinets. If the existing oak can take another sand, we say so. If it cannot, we install hardwood. We do not publish prices, brands, or a per-square-foot menu.
