Josh Templet — twenty years of hardwood floor refinishing in Huntsville
Twenty years refinishing and installing hardwood in Huntsville and North Alabama. Licensed and fully insured.
Alabama Hardwood Restoration is locally owned and operated by Josh Templet. You talk to the people doing the work. Estimates are written. Timelines are real.
We bring dull, worn hardwood floors back to life in Huntsville and across North Alabama, and we build custom hardwood stairs with dust-contained sanding in lived-in houses.
The work is hardwood floor sanding and refinishing, new hardwood installation, custom staircase builds and remodeling, hardwood repair, and unfinished solid hardwood, unfinished engineered hardwood, and stair parts sold for those jobs. Residential and commercial clients across North Alabama.
- Dust-contained sanding
- We run high-efficiency extraction so sanding dust stays out of the air, the ducts, and the furniture. That's dust-contained sanding on a lived-in Huntsville or North Alabama job — virtually dustless, not a promise of zero dust.
- Custom stairs matched to the floor
- Planetary sanding, custom stair carpentry, stain blended so a repair doesn't read as a patch. Same crew on the treads as on the hall.
- Finishes built for family traffic
- Rubio Monocoat® Oil Plus 2C is advertised as 0% VOC. Bona Traffic HD is a waterborne, low-VOC finish and is GREENGUARD Gold certified — that GREENGUARD label is on the Bona product, not a company-wide certification. Lived-in homes with kids and pets get those systems, plus dust containment.
